These days my information resources are so distributed I find I have to create a stub pointer in SimpleNote/NValt to tell me where to look. So I’m thinking about ways to automate that process…

When someone in my Contact list dies I don’t delete them. I add them to a ‘Group’ called, inevitably, RIP. I enter a note on when they died, maybe something about our relationship. What do others do?

Wolfram Language: 8 min video of Wolfram Language [blog.wolfram.com]. Classes made up from Alpha and Mathematica that correspond to interesting computable objects in our world. I’m not sure this is the first AI language, but seems best funded and the most interesting.

I just moved from ML to Mavericks at 10.9.2. No big problems so far, but quite a few glitches. Had to reinstall printers, iBooks is disappointing, etc. Desktop machines haven’t been mass market since MultiFinder.

From Aperture create a photo stream. Make it a public website. Now delete an image. Note that it’s not deleted from the public site. This was with Aperture 3.0, wouldn’t surprise me if still broken.

I now suspect airfare pricing is like hospital pricing. Corporate/Insured pay far lower than list price. NonCorporate/PrivatePay get stuck with inflated list price. Weird tax games all around. 21st century commerce is all about information asymmetry.

I believe less than 10% of my corporate colleagues understand how Outlook/Exchange calendaring works. Same for SharePoint document management. For both it’s 7%. This is where Microsoft failed, not Metro.

@wickedgood Curious! The data is largely video, stored in CloudAssets folder [discussions.apple.com]. The only fix I know is to wipe, but I’ll try this workaround. Manual deletion using Phone View didn’t work.
