There’s a subtle defect with 7.0 iMessage for correspondents who have intermittent data service. It used to reply to SMS with SMS, now it persists w/ iMessage if contact has past iMessage use. No fail message but need to manually resend as Text. #t

Anyone have experience with the “lifeline” services Philips offers? Looking at something for my mother in Canada. Couldn’t find much online, their web site has no prices, when phone it’s hard core sales — exploitative feel.

I reconfirmed my TrueName Google account is still G+ free. When I tried to opt out of their latest ad move I was asked to enroll :-). I have J+ on my Gordon account, which is fine. We all need multiple shadow identities now.

I think Pinboard API was down for about 12-16 hours, but it’s working now. I was sharing items via Reeder.app, then noticed they weren’t appearing in pinboard or app.net/twitter. #pinboard

I’m not sure 3rd party SSD, Late 2009 iMac, Mountain Lion and encrypted boot drive all play together perfectly. When I get a chance I’m going to remove the encryption.

I missed that Bing is now Siri’s search provider. [searchengineland.com]. So in iOS 7, if you enter a term in ‘search iphone’ then choose ‘search web’, do you get results from Bing or Google? I wonder how many people do that. (I always do.)

iTunes 11.1 – deleting podcasts vs. inability to browse. I’m looking into the alleged podcast lost with 11.1. There is something broken, but it may be a browser bug. I see podcasts in a smart folder I can’t locate in iTunes browser.

Does the iPhone 5c need a case? In all reviews I’ve read nobody has discussed this. iPhone 5 definitely needed a case, if 5c doesn’t that’s a big enhancement. Also – how water resistant is the 5c?
